Birth is the hardest physical thing your body will ever do.
Nobody trains for it. We hand you a list of things you’re not allowed to do anymore and wish you luck.
I do it differently. As a Certified Body Ready Method® Pro in Shakopee, I assess how your body is actually moving — where it’s restricted, where it’s compensating, how it’s organizing itself around your growing baby — and then I give you specific work to do about it. Core strength. Pelvic floor. Upper body mobility. Real preparation, built around YOUR body and YOUR goals.
Fewer aches now. A more efficient birth. A postpartum recovery that doesn’t blindside you.
I see moms from Shakopee, Prior Lake, Savage, and across the south metro. Bring your questions.
The Body Ready Method®: Supporting Your Pregnancy from Head to Toe
The Body Ready Method® is based on five pillars that holistically address the needs of the pregnant body:
- Upper Body Mobility
- Core Strength
- Pelvic Alignment
- Pelvic Floor Health
- Movement Patterns
By working with a Certified BRM® Pro, you receive the support and education needed to optimize these areas for a healthy pregnancy and birth.
What working with me actually looks like
I assess you head to toe, then build a plan around your body and your goals. Not a generic prenatal protocol.
Most of the discomforts people accept as “just part of pregnancy” are actually telling us something about tension and load. Backache. Hip pain. Pubic bone pain. Round ligament pain. Those aren’t random — they’re patterns, and patterns can be changed.
So instead of managing symptoms one at a time, I look at the whole system: what’s moving, what isn’t, and what your body is doing to compensate. Then we work on that.
How I Can Help You
- Head-to-toe assessment: I find where your body is compensating and build a birth prep plan from what I actually see, not a template.
- Less pregnancy discomfort: Backache, hip pain, pubic bone pain, round ligament pain. If your pubic bone feels like it’s on fire, that has a name and I can help.
- Prepare for an efficient birth: Creating space and balance in the birthing body. This works alongside the Webster Technique and cranial sacral work I use with every pregnant client.
- Postpartum support: Guidance for getting strong again after birth. More on that on my postpartum recovery page.
If you’re already seeing me for prenatal chiropractic care, BRM work folds right into what we’re already doing.
Who should work with a BRM® Pro?

- Anyone whose last birth was hard and who wants to do something different this time
- Anyone worried about core strength or pelvic floor function

The Body Ready Method® is an evidence-based approach to prenatal preparation and birth support, trusted by thousands around the world. As a BRM® Pro, I’m here to help you feel stronger, more resilient, and more prepared through your pregnancy — no matter what kind of birth you’re planning.
Questions I get about the Body Ready Method®
No, they’re different tools and they work well together. Chiropractic care addresses alignment and nervous system function through hands-on adjusting. BRM is assessment and movement work: how your body moves, where it’s restricted, and what to do about it. Most of my pregnant clients in Shakopee get both.
Often, yes. Pubic bone pain in pregnancy usually points to instability and uneven load through the pelvis, and BRM assessment is built to find exactly that.
Earlier is easier, but it is genuinely never too late. I’ve started people at 12 weeks and I’ve started people at 38 weeks with a birth coming up fast. Both are worth doing.
Nope. BRM work is about your body being resilient and prepared, whatever your birth ends up looking like. That includes a planned cesarean.
I’m in Shakopee, and I see moms from Prior Lake, Savage, and across the south metro. Most people drive in from within about 20 minutes.
