We love to spoil our expecting moms!

Webster technique along myofascial release and CST, your body will feel well adjusted.

Taking care of pregnant moms is my favorite thing I do. My care plans go beyond the adjustment — I include birth prep exercises through the Body Ready Method, nutritional guidance, posture and position modifications, and I connect moms to other birth practitioners and resources as needed. You get a prenatal chiropractor AND a teammate for your pregnancy journey.

Pregnancy brings on a lot of physical, emotional, and hormonal changes, and all of them can cause real discomfort during what should be a celebrated time in your life.

Common complaints that bring moms to my office: low back pain, sciatica, pubic bone pain, round ligament pain, and hip pain. These are all commonly helped by prenatal chiropractic care and the Webster Technique.

During Pregnancy, Your Body Is Changing Fast

As the baby grows, your center of gravity shifts, putting more stress on your lower back and pelvic joints. This shift, combined with pregnancy-related weight gain, often deepens the natural curve of your lower back, which can strain the joints in your pelvis, sacrum, and hips significantly.

Here's the piece most people don't realize: your nervous system is running the show. It's coordinating everything — your body's adaptation to pregnancy, baby's development, your comfort, your recovery. When there's tension or misalignment affecting that brain-body communication, symptoms show up. That's where prenatal chiropractic care comes in.

Sciatica, pain that starts in the lower back or hips and runs down one or both legs, is one of the most common things I see in pregnancy. If you've had previous lower back issues, pregnancy often makes them worse. And those issues don't always resolve on their own after delivery, which can make everyday tasks like carrying your baby, breastfeeding, and bending over to pick things up really uncomfortable.

The good news? Chiropractic care can help restore balance and relieve these discomforts, setting you up for a smoother postpartum recovery.

The Webster Technique: For Every Pregnant Body

I hold a current Webster certification through the ICPA, and every single one of my pregnant patients gets a Webster analysis. This is a specific chiropractic adjustment designed to restore balance and function to your pelvis, which creates a better environment for baby and more comfort for you.

A lot of people think Webster technique is only for breech babies. It helps with that, absolutely, but it's for every pregnant body. Any imbalances in the pelvis and its support structures can contribute to the discomforts of pregnancy. That's why I assess every mom with Webster, whether you're in your first trimester or your last.

The benefits include creating an optimal environment for proper fetal positioning, reducing labor and delivery times, and minimizing discomfort during labor. If you've been referred by your midwife or OB for fetal positioning concerns, I wrote about how Webster technique actually works here — spoiler: we're not flipping babies.

What To Know About Your First Prenatal Visit

During your first visit, I take the time to hear your story. What's hurting, what's worrying you, what your goals are for pregnancy and birth. I'll do a full assessment including a Webster analysis to understand how your pelvis and nervous system are doing, and then put together a care plan that fits your unique needs.

And yes, we have pregnancy pillows that accommodate your growing bump so you can still lie face down for care. Moms love that part.

Prenatal chiropractic care has been shown to reduce the need for pain medications during labor and help reduce labor time. And don't forget to come back after baby arrives, the work we do during pregnancy sets you up for a better postpartum recovery, and I'd love to check on your little one too.

You Don't Have To Do This Alone

You deserve a skilled prenatal chiropractor on your birth team. Someone who gets it, who listens, and who's trained to help your body feel its best through every stage. I'd love to take care of you.
