What Pediatric Chiropractic Care Looks Like at My Practice

Birth is a lot of work, for baby too. Even a smooth delivery puts real force through a newborn's small body, and that stress can show up later as trouble feeding, restless sleep, or a head that always turns one way.

As your child grows, their nervous system is doing the heavy lifting behind every milestone: rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking. When I check a baby or child, I'm looking at how well their nervous system is communicating with the rest of their body, not just whether something hurts. Gentle, age-appropriate adjustments help clear that communication so growth and development can happen the way they're meant to.

My Approach: Beyond Milestones and Sprouts

I'm a Certified Chiropractic Pediatrician (CACCP) through the ICPA, with over 300 hours of post-doctorate training focused specifically on infants and children. That training shapes two programs I run:

  • Beyond Milestones (birth to 30 months): tracking nervous system development alongside rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking, and supporting babies through colic, feeding difficulties, and sleep disturbances.
  • Sprouts (ages 2 to 5): supporting motor skills, coordination, and the sensory and behavioral changes that come with this stage.

Every adjustment I give a baby or child is gentle and specific to their size and stage, nothing like an adult adjustment.

What I Look For, and What to Expect

Parents bring their kids in for all kinds of reasons. Some of the most common:

  • Colic, feeding difficulties, or frequent ear infections in infancy
  • Torticollis, plagiocephaly (a flattened spot on the head), or trouble turning one way during tummy time
  • Missed or out-of-order milestones, like rolling before sitting

I also see kids for tongue-tie and lip-tie support alongside a release procedure, helping re-establish a comfortable latch.

Your first visit includes a full history, a gentle hands-on assessment, and a plan built around your child's stage of development. I'll show you what I'm doing and why at every step, and give you simple things to do at home between visits.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pediatric Chiropractic Care

Yes. Adjustments for infants and children use a tiny fraction of the pressure used on adults, often no more than the pressure you'd use to test a ripe tomato. I'm CACCP certified through the ICPA specifically for this population.
Many families come in shortly after birth, and then again around major milestones like rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking. There's no wrong time to start.
Colic, feeding difficulties, frequent ear infections, torticollis and plagiocephaly, sleep disturbances, and tongue-tie or lip-tie support alongside a release procedure are all common reasons families visit.
Both. My Beyond Milestones program covers birth through 30 months, and Sprouts covers ages 2 to 5. I also see older kids for posture, sleep, and sport-related concerns.
